FROM THE RWAF (also posted in Rabbit Welfare)
We try not to send too many rehoming appeals out as we know that every
rescue in the country is already overwhelmed, but sometimes emergency
cases like the following arise.
An Animal Welfare Officer for a local authority on the Kent/South East
London border is removing 16 rabbits that are currently being kept in
'dire circumstances'. They are of mixed sex and have been kept
together so some of the females may well be pregnant. He has found
reputable rescues to take 11, but there are 5 remaining that
desperately need homes.
If you think you can take some of these rabbits then please do get in
touch with Niall on 07540 799894. It would be ideal if you can
transport the rabbits as he is making a lot of trips already to take
those that have been placed, but some arrangement can be made if you
can only travel part of the way.
Thanks so much.
