buying hay online

Estelle

Wise Old Thumper
My usual pet shop had sold out of hay yesterday and as i'm unable to go shopping whenever i like anymore (baby doesn't like it!)
I thought i'd start buying hay online. The only thing is there seems to be loads of different kinds!
I usually get meadow hay from a local shop which is lovely and green and smells fresh. What kind of hay have you bought online that you could recommend? :)

My buns eat the willowwarren hay daily (Timothy rich locally grown) and get a top up of Oxbow Western, Burns Green Oat, Burns Organic Mountain, and the Somerset Hay from Pampered Piggies (is fab!!)
I also supplelment with plenty of dried herbs and leaves and other fibrous woods/tree cuttings from apple, willow, hazel etc.

I used to get the big bales of stalky meadow hay from Dust Free Hay co and Alfie and Bubbles highly recommend it. It's about £27 but is absolutely huge (so you'd need somewhere to store it). :)

Do you have any farm shops nearby? I get huge bales of timothy hay now for £4.50 - again you need somewhere to store it, but it would mean you wouldn't need to make as many trips to buy hay. ;)

Our buns favourites are DFH but we now have an online pet shop and have different kinds of hay available including some produced by the DFH.
