parsnipbun
Wise Old Thumper
Quickthorn - my very very cute little chinchilla nethie has had to go to the vets this morning and they have kept him in. he was ok last night but this morning he kept laying down. Oddly not the 'stretch and lay' they do when they have a stomach pain, just laying. In fact quite a lot on his side. he also didn't want to eat and has obviously (as a side effect of whatever is making him feel ill) gone into a bit of stassis.
he didn't seem hot or anything to the touch (or cold) - but rather alarmingly I thought his genitals looked a bit bigger than normal (though I don't really look to be honest - if I checked 16 sets of genitals every morning i would never get any work done at all).
He looked just wobbly and not well at all.
I suspect very much either onset of EC related dizziness (though he's not had EC symptoms before to my knowledge) OR onset of attack of myxi - though he was vaccinated in June (beginning of - so its 4 months now). he just looks like he feels dizzy or feverish in some way.
Whatever it is I want him home again!!! His wifebun misses him and so do I. Don't usually leave my buns at the vets unless they need ops or intravenous but it was not my rabbit savvy vet so they kept him in so she could see him when she finished with this mornings ops.
Waiting for a phone call . . . . . (chews fingers and eats chocolate and feels nervous)
