Back to this great forum again for some advice!
Noticed that Herbert's front left leg was splaying slightly on slippery surfaces and after an examination he has been diagnosed with arthritis. Not too much of a surprise as he is an elderly gentleman (had him for 8 and a half years but he is a rescue rabbit so possibly another 2 or more years on top of that.)
He is on Metacam as and when needed, however, I was wondering whether there is anything else I can do to make life easier for him, ie. exercise, massage, other medications to consider etc? I've read that cod liver oil on food helps but not sure about this?
Anyway, would be grateful to hear from others who have experience caring for arthritic bunnies.
Thanks in advance. x
