I don't know about RSPCA wallsall or any of the other ones close to you in birmingham but we have fosterers for fat fluffs. Generally they:
Either provide their own hutch & run although we can sometimes supply if one has been donated.....I think some spare ones might be coming up. The hutch/run would have to meet our standard adoption requiremnts.
Generally pay for food & hay/bedding unless taking on a specialised group like babies or giants which would have a larger feed bill or circumstances are quite tight for some reason. Chloe will often offer to pay for food but we usually don't take her up on the offer
Don't pay for vet bills. Some fosterers take the buns to the vets if they are close to one that we use, others bring them back for us to take in. If it was an emergency (unless every second counted) you would probably phone chloe or one of the other trustees to check that it was an emergency & seek vet treatement from your own vet or one of ours for which you would be reimbursed. if you couldn't get hold of us we'd expect you to use your noggin (or RU
) to check that vet treatment is needed and seek it ASAP if it is.
It wouldn't matter if you worked all day, most of us do. We would generally give you buns that suited your level of experience, time that you have available to be with the buns and distance away from us. i.e. if you were not very experienced & worked all day & lived far away from us and our vets we probably wouldn't give you a very sick bunny that needed lots of TLC and vet treatement but we might give you one that was neutered vaccinated & ready to go.
If you are interested in fostering for FF (we have people oldham way, kings heath, solihull & sutton coldfield so are quite spread out) then give team@fatfluffs.com a buzz.
