  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hiya, i was wondering if anyone can reccomend a good rabbit vet in Glasgow. We're in the East End/nr city centre. I tried using the search option on forum to look for previous threads but nothing seemed to come up

Hi, I know there's the vet hospital in Glasgow, possibly based at the university, but don't know if that's purely a hospital and you need to be referred or whether you can make normal appointments. Worth checking.

If you're near the city centre and can travel easily I'd actually recommend the Abbey vet clinic in Paisley - should get the address from the net but it's not far from the Gilmour St station - I live in Greenock and use their Greenock surgery which is great. It's the same vets that work in both clinics and there's more than one rabbit-savvy vet on their staff. (They also have a very good 24-hour emergency service)
:)

I would strongly recommend Miss Adams, The Veterinary Centre, Crow Road, Glasgow. Tel- 0141 339 1228. She is an extremely good bunny vet. I took my previous dental bun to her on the basis of a recommendation and have been using her ever since:D
