ALAHNA...spayed and had a huge hydrometra

Alahna has been in to be spayed today ...

and no wonder she seemed chunky around her middle ... Her uterus was full of water ...which is called hydrometra and it is a pre condition to pyometra where the uterus becomes infected and fills with pus ..

Alahna was weighed before and after the op and she is now 620g lighter :shock:...imagine carrying that around ..:shock:

it seems she was lucky somehow ending up a stray and being brought here ...if left she would certainly died a painful death ...bless her .

She certainly seems quite perky already ..:)

shes no spring cvhicken ..although we can only guess at her age ... but definatly another persuasive reason to spay the older girlies who come in ...if they are fit enough that is ..
