Specialist Rabbit vets Needed for student

parsnipbun

Wise Old Thumper
A 5th year vet student who is going to bunny/hen/cat/tortoise/house sit for me and wants to specialise in rabbits in her final year of vet school is looking for intern placements for next summer with specialist rabbit vets (they spend a few weeks with them unpaid!!). She has been taught by my vet and I think will also place there, so is now looking for others.

She is really looking for places that do mostly buns. Bristol is no good as only part time so cannot take intern placements, and the other obvious one (Harcourt Brown) is apparently not taking on student placements at present - so anyone any other ideas??

I said I would get her some contacts she could try.

Thanks everyone! (incl PMs).

Glad to hear more people mentioning the Cat and Rabbit Clinic - someone else I know told me about it a while ago but I wasn't sure if it was generally well regarded - obviously is.

We take vet students but get busy quite quickly so if she would like to come here then best to book asap. We do lots of rabbit work but also other exotics too (no cats and dogs :D) so lots of very interesting stuff going on.

edited to add: off on honeymoon in the morning so won't be checking messages!

Simon and his wife Kim are THE best when it comes to bunnies. Highly, highly recommended. They only treat (as the name suggests) cats and rabbits plus a few piggies etc.
