Avacado

I have just been reading my Rabbiting On Magazine and found a little article from someone who had sadly lost a bun after it ate avacado. I for one did not know that it is toxic to most animals and especially bunnies. The writer asked RWF to spread the word, so I thought I'd post it here too. Luckily it is not a fruit I eat, otherwise I'm sure my two would have been given a trial at some time.

Yes it is highly toxic to rabbits.

I do eat them, but never my buns - it's a good idea to check before feeding buns anything as there's a lot that should be avoided

I knew the skin and stone was toxic but I never knew the flesh was toxic to rabbits? Not that mine have ever had it but I was suprised!
