Good vets in London?

Heya everyone ,

I'll be taking Bootes to a vet along with a bunny I'm getting on Sunday hopefully sometime next week to start their vaccination courses.

I don't mind travelling too far but it'll have to be by public transport (I'm a student, so it won't be too expensive).

I was wondering if those in London could tell me a little about their vets, vaccination and neutering prices :) It would be a great help!

I don't mind if the neutering prices are a little steep, as long as the vet knows what they're doing and the vaccination prices are okay.

Thanks guys :D

Are you far from Twickenham?

I'm pretty much Central/South East.

I've travelled as far as Hayes which I know is near Upminster and Romford in the west.

So far I've checked up on Park Vets, whose senior partner, Tim Newton, has a special interest in rabbit medicine. If there aren't any other suggestions, I'll settle for there :D He's also a member of the RWA, so he can't be bad, right?

I'm in the South East. My vet is Mark Nelson in Thornton Heath and I can recommend him and his team whole heartedly! :D They're not rabbit specialists as such, but care very much for any animal, be it a mouse or a giant dog (both of which I have brought to that surgery!). They have good rabbit knowledge and what I like most about them, are prepared to learn and work/co-operate with the owner!

They are reasonably priced, not the cheapest with vaccinations etc, but certainly not over the top!

The surgery is about 5 minutes walk from Thornton Heath train station.

Sounds great, why not give them a call, check that the vet you want works at that branch and if he works certain days :)

I'll phone up and inquire about prices and such :)

I'll gather up a substantial list then do the phoning in a day. It'll give me something to do at least

slough is prob way to far but farnham road the beeches helen sarah or steven or nicola (not shilpa or gemma tho both are nice) are very good with rabbits

My vets in Goodmayes charges £15 to neuter a buck and £35 for a doe. They are called the Animal Ark.

Unfortunately that's just a bit out of my reach. I'm gonna have to stay within the M25 (damn me for not wanting driving lessons or a car!) but thank you for the suggestion :D

That's.. really cheap. How are they with rabbits though? Are injections administered properly? Do you know vaccination prices too?

I'll ring up if not - thank you! :)
