Hello,
Michelle had sticky bottom at the weekend and she's not been eating much. I took her to the vet on Sunday and the vet looked at her teeth and said it's because she has spurs on her molars and her heavy moult may be contributory.
He filed her teeth today and x-rayed her tummy. The teeth filing went well and apparently there isn't a blockage from the hair thank goodness. She's going to be in the hospital until Thursday because I'm working away and I don't want to trouble my bunny sitter with having to look after her, but he said she is well enough to come home.
A question though... Michelle is 3 years old and has never had tooth problems before. Now that she's had spurs are they likely to recur? and if so, how often do they need to be checked?
PS, it was the best vet in the practice that saw to her so she's in good hands! He's the one that deals with all the buns from the local rabbit sanctuary (Bunnycamp in Bradford).
