  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I'm sure if you warm him up and keep him dry he'll be ok. Be sure to move his bed away from the rain!! Give him lots of snuggles. Whenever my ourdoor buns were cold I used to put them under my jumper or fleece so they were getting some of my body heat but it depends how squiggily your bun is.

Hope hes ok

im sure he will be fine now he has warmed up, bet he will love being a house bun

I only put him out cos of my ex.Mrs Bun and Beebee both lived indoors all winter and I put them out a couple of months ago. But, now my partner no longer lives with me...
the spare room is now gonna be converted into a bunny room!!

Beebee is still wrapped ina jumper with the hottie.Hes now warming up a bit and ive given him some rocket but hes not touched it.

Has he had anything to drink? I've heard people on here recommending cooled boiled water for dehydration, just made me think maybe a bit of warmish water (cooled boiled tho, not warm out the tap) might help?

Poor wee mite....hes making very snuffly noises (but always did), on baytril and eating/drinking well.Spent an hour or two in bed with me last night....

how is he tonight? sniffling improving?
ETA: SORRY, JUST READ YOUR UPDATE. GLAD HE'S FEELING BETTER:)
