Mine don't seem to be bothered by the thorns on the blackberry stalks, although I tend not to put the thickest stalks in.

I'm struggling to find raspberry stalks at the moment that don't have raspberries at the end, but as soon as the raspberries have finished my buns will be getting the trimmings.

I've never noticed them having a problem with the thorns. Despite bunny mouths looking really delicate I figure they must be pretty tough as my Suzi will happily tuck into stinging nettles. I should enter her into the nettle eating competition that was on Hugh Fearnley Whittingstalls program... Ouch!
