How many buns could live in a 6'x8' shed?

Just wondering how many buns do you think would happily live in a 6'x8' shed (dutch/lionhead sort of size not giants). I have a 6'x8' shed which unfortunately would not be able to have an attached run (maybe next year but definately not now) but they would be able to go out in a run during the day when im around). thanks

My shed is 4x6 and i keep 4 buns in (2 larger,2 small) but they have big run attached and only get locked in over night. Before I had the run built, i just attached the punny pen around the shed and opened the shed door, its not very secure though so need constant supervision.
I can post a pic if you'd like?

Thanks, I have 4 buns which I am hoping to bond if possible over the next few weeks so that they can live in the shed (which I brought last year for my doggies but hasnt been used). They are all does so I am not sure if it will be possible but I am hoping I will be able to bond them either into pairs or a group. I know this is the wrong place, but can I ask, do you think if it would be better to bond two into a pair first and then introduce the other two to these, one at a time? or bond them into two pairs first them introduce them to each other? or not?

If they aren't bonded already, I'd spay all, wait for hormones settling & then bond the lot on neutral.

You can increase space in your shed with shelves/two tier hutches/chairs etc:D

My setup :)

I am thinking about how to make it bigger and might put some shelves up (with ramps etc.). I am also a bit worried about heat in there, It has 3 windows which were perspex but I replaced them with secure mesh this morning. Is it best to leave a hutch or two in there or would cardboard boxes etc. be better? I only have single tiered hutches but I am considering making 2 singles smaller ones into 1 double one for them:)

I had a single tier hutch in mine, put blankets nd stuff on top of it as the rabbits loved lying on top of the hutch aswell as inside.
Im getting a 2nd layer built on the far side of the shed (inside) with a ramp going down to make use of the shed hieght :)
If your refering to my setup Lily its actually quite a big setup and there very rarely locked inside, there usally out from 6am in the morning till 11 at night, my 2 other rabbits are quite small aswell so its a perfect size for them

i think something like that is perfect for 4 buns. Thats prob bigger than my bedroom

:lol::lol::lol::lol:
Well a rescue lady seen it the other day and was really impressed with the size of my setup, and im happy with it so :D that run thing alone cost £300+ to have built.
I was thinking about buying a small player house and connecting the two of them aswell and having using the other playhouse as a little "out house".....

I love your set up vikkie. It must be lovely for the buns in the summer especially as its so airy and everything!
Surely thats ok for four bunnnies? :s
They're not locked up either in the shed much now.

With the shed idea, im not 100% sure, but im trying to put it in context to my shed

I suppose you can add levels ext which will add to the excitement for the bunnies.

I was answering the question of how many rabbits people would keep in a 6'x8' shed. I would keep 2.

I have this shed, I can't convert the size but don't think it is as big as yours? I have attached a small run perm to the side. Picture here:

Inside we have added one shelf (picture here):

and we are planning to add another higher shelf over the other side at some point.

I have four bunnies (all lionheads) living in here but from about 6am until 8pm or later (every day) they all have free run of the garden.

I have a 6 x 8 which is split down the middle and has 2 pairs in it so they have 3 x 8 each, i have also added an upstairs either side :D

Nice setup:) it says on the Argos site "(H)5ft 7in, (W)7ft 3in, (D)2ft 10in" so no its not as big as mine (mine is 6ft wide and 8ft deep)
