    Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

    You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

    We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

    Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Wonderful Vets in Southsea reccomendation :)

Young Bun
Hi there everyone, just wanted to say how impressed and thrilled I was with the vets at Harbour Vets in Southsea. I took Pika in there today, and didn't catch the name of the vet unfortunately, but she was absolutely wonderful, she had a lot of bunny knowledge that she was more than happy to share with me, gave me advice on spaying, vaccinations, how to do health checks for myself, what to cut down on and what to give her more of, and she was obviously very passionate about her job and the animals. She was very good with Pika who was a bit nervous about the whole experience and she left a very happy bunny :D She even got down on the floor with her when she was a bit skittish on the exam table and took the time to calm her down and make her comfy before continuing.

If anyone is wondering whcih vets to go for, I would really reccoment Harbour, Pikachu had a touch of conjunctivitis so we got drops as well and I was more than happy to pay the £41 for the medicene and the excellent check up :) All the staff were pleasent and friendy, and they all loved Pika too :)

Love Jen and Pikachu :love::love:
