Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

hi justrecently ive become the bunny mum to a 5 week old baby rabbit its mother decided to attack it and wont let it feed i was thinking of giving it a little goats milk? wud this be okay the owner couldnt be bothered with it and gave the baby to me and i have no idea wot to do as she should still be on her mothers milk should i give goats milk or just hope for the best???

yea its eating pellets and hay and drinking water just was going to give it a lil boost with the goats milk maby just a lil bit a day im just scared of losing it
i couldnt deal with it i lost 3 rabbits just before christmas it was awful

What condition is the baby in? If it's a decent size and looks healthy then it will be fine with hay and pellets (a junior brand like Excel Junior is best). However if the baby looks scraggy and undersized (if Mum hasn't been feeding it properly for a long period of time) it might be worth supplementing with a little goats milk...just a few mls a couple of times a day.

Babies can be weaned as early as 4 weeks old because Mum potentially could have another litter after 4 weeks. Although if Mum doesn't give birth again, she may feed the babies until about 8 weeks old.

she did have another litter apparently i decided to give it a lil bowl with a drop of goats milk and it loved it ... it was so funny to watch it was all over its face and it sat and licked it all off lol

would it do any harm to give it a lil
