Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

4 days of very soft poo...

Benjamin09

Young Bun
Ever since I bought him home last Thursday, he's done a lot of soft poos! he's still doing the usual hard ones, but hardly any of them...

I thought it was the stress of moving, but he seems to of settled in quite well and is a lot more confident. He's still eating a lot of hay, and I havent given him any veg, the only food he gets is his breakfast and dinner, which are very small amounts of muesli - like he was eating before hand.

His run is on the patio away from any plants so I know he's not having a sneaky nibble at anything.

Any ideas to what it could be? Or is it normal to have 4 days of soft poo's when he's just moved or should it of settled by now?

What pellets are you feeding? If you have changed them then this needs to be done slowly. Are you feeding any veg?

You could try to get some Fibreplex which may help but if it continues it may be best to get your bun checked out by the vet.
