  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I trod on my rabbit,

PTV

Alpha Buck
I trod on her by mistake.

:(

She seemed quite shook up. I had no shoes or slippers on and didn't put all my weight on my foot.

She ran off and then lay down, and seemed quite shook up.

I'm worried. I've touched her legs and picked her up, she doesn't flinch or make any noises.

I'm worried.

Its easy to do when they are dancing around your feet like a pair of furry slippers!

I keep saying mine are on a mission to assassinate me... they run up the stairs in between my feet... it's me who will end up broken and bruised I tell you!

Just keep an eye on the bun for showing any signs of limping or pain (hunched posture, grinding teeth, loss of appetite and interest in normally exciting things)

I do the bunny shuffle.. instead of walking full on.. plays havoc with my sciatica but at least buns are more likely to get scooped along with a toe up their bum, rather than kicked or trodden on

I have to watch it when I have the food bowls, they dance round my feet and I have to tiptoe around them!

Hope bunny is OK x x
