is it a rescue/breeder?? if it is a rescue you would want to know

why it was handed in
its health status
what food its on
is it friendly
neutered/spayed

for a breeder you really want to meet and handle the parents, see what conditions they were raised in,any health probs with the teeth.

I would add:

Has it lived with another rabbit/ how has it reacted to other rabbits?
Is it vaccinated for myxi/vhd?
has it been kept indoors/outdoors?
Does it require daily grooming?

If it is a rescue you would want to know:

Past medical history.
Temprement of the rabbit and what type of home they think it would be suitable for.
What food it is on, although good rescues will give you enough food to transfer rabbits over to a new food.
Is it a good hay eater. Poor hay eaters are at greater risk of dental problems.
Have a look at the size of its poo. The bigger the poo the higher their intake of fibre and the healthier their gut will be.
Is it castrated or speyed.
Vaccination status and when they are next due.
Will the rescue assist you with bonding two rabbits together, this is very helpful if you are not experienced at this.

Now the weather is improving the issues surrounding outdoor and indoor rabbits is minimised. In the colder months this is important.

I am unable to advise about getting from a breeder as I have never considered this an option.

how long have they been in rescue
where have they come from
are they neutered
are they vaccinated (get the vax card)
how old are they
have they had any medical problems (e.g. teeth)
what are their personalities
do you do bonding on the premises/can I arrange bonding/can I bond myself
what is your minimum hutch/run/house bunny set up
what pellets do they eat
what veggies have they had
are they good hay eaters
have they been with any other rabbits before? How have they reacted?
