Shocker - Vets' Markup!

I've just made an order on the hayexperts for:


1 x 10kg bag of Excel
1 x 10kg bag of Science Selective
1 x large bag of Yesterday's News (litter)

the courier is £7.99, so the total is £54.76...


But at the vets last month, for the exact same items, excluding courier, it was:

£68.69 :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

I knew the vets was expensive (but I can order it one day and pick up the next - anything but go to PAH), but not that much...
I feel a bit conned :?
£14 difference? :?

Your vet probably has to pay full price for the bag as a one-off rather than someone buying in bulk who can probably get them cheaper, and your vet has to spread their 'profit' over the whole business so I wouldn't say you are being ripped off by your vet, it's just a different business model.
