Sad News..one of the baby Leverets didn't make it.

SAD NEWS, Gwen at Bunny Burrows text me this morning to say that one of the Leverets has died :cry:

Unlike wild baby buns, Leverets are very very difficult to hand rear, let's hope the remaining Leveret will survive. Will keep you posted!

That's really sad, poor little thing. :cry:
I have to say though, wild bunnies are by no means easy to hand rear either, the success rate is really quite low. I was very lucky that Juno was weaned when I got her. :(

I know wild buns are difficult also to hand rear, I'm really saying Leverets are a lot more difficult, I should have probably worded it better...Sorry!:(
 
Gwen gave me heaps of advice a couple of years ago re Hand Rearing.
She does an amazing job and her success rate is significant.
I hope little Leveret will make it.
