please help.....do i take her with or not?

bertie has a special visit to an exotics specialist vet in andover tomorro morning..im going by a type of animal ambulance service costing me £75.
The trip is at least an hour each way..she said a three hour round rip usually....
i said i wouldnt be tkaing bif as shes so nervous etc i hate to think what itd do to her.
but now im worried.....all that time bertie will be stressed without her to cuddle...and they both hold on so they wee when they get home...
ill put a towel in and some doggy training mats....and take some pellets and hay to sprinkle osme in the carrier..as for water....im tkaing forzen bottles of water to act as a coolant for poor bertie as he overheats in a heartbeat..and they can lick the water off the condensation wihout both getting wet.

do i take her..shes so lost without him and vice versa since they both lost their partners and ended up back with each other again. ast time bif had to stay overnite and he was such a mess.
she goes iwth him to our local vets and to the emergency one so they odnt freak out without each other.

but would it be dangerous for her to do this journey..yes it would but same for bertie....i dont know what to do..

please please can i have some advcie

I would always advise keeping bonded buns together as separating them will cause a great deal of stress to them both and risks the bond breaking. That said it does depend on the buns as to how they will react: some may just sleep through the separation and be none the wiser.

I would take them both, especially as its a long time for them to be apart. I take both of mine to the vets together even though I could be there and back in 20 mins so they would never notice the other was missing!

yes but it happened twice..the vets say they cannot accomodate bertie with bif due to his size:oops: they have a small animal/bird only ward.a cat only one and dog only. when bertie stayed in overnite after losin willow.they kept him on the floor of the isolation room:shock: hes not a massive frenchie....10lb..and he used to go with bif for day time stays to help her ecover form dentals etc...i think it maybe new rules since the rspca ruling came out.

too expensive....thats just the travel costs!! im epileptic and cannot drive a car because its not controlled fully by meds....what choice do i have:censored:

i hate to think how much the vet fees are going to be....thank goodness i have petplan!! at least i hope they allow for that:roll::shock:

i want to keep him as calm as poss which involves taking his beloved bif with but im terrified also she will die form the stress......which way do i go:cry:
