Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

How often, teeth check

Hi there. I am wondering how often i should take my rabbits to the vet for teeth checking? I asked the vet to check Jasons when he was in for nuetering and she told me he had some 'burr's' on his teeth that she removed, and advised to give more hay, less pellets. I give him a handful once a day now, whereas it was a bowl a day beforehand. Jessica has had one teeth check and was fine. How often should i take them? Every couple of months?

i think it depends on the bunny. Pierre has problems with his molars which require cuyrrantly burring every 6 months or so. i take him for a check up every2 -3 months or whenever he goes in for jabs etc. i know as soon as strats to get picky with his food he needs them done again.
if a rabbitneeded more regualr trimmings it would make sence to get more regular checkups.
