Nero 4 Cage

vonniegee

New Kit
What do you guys think of Nero 4's? They're 118cm long, do you think they're big enough for a dwarf rabbit or maybe two?

It would be cheaper and offer more room to get a dog crate and add a shelf. A nero 4 foot cage is not big enough for most small rabbits,. although this depends on how much time out they will get.

this is an old cage one of our foster homes used to use.

There are instructions on how to put shelves in on http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?t=52032

There are lots of ideas for indoor cages on here. With the nero cages it is worth putting something over the door opening to prevent a bun catching its feet when getting out, there have been a couple of incidents of serious injuries from these.

Cages made using panels available from places like B&Q also provide adaptable accomodation http://forums.rabbitrehome.org.uk/showthread.php?t=169090&highlight=cubes

You could buy a box of NIC cubes for cheaper and make a much bigger cage.

Here is a pic of mine made from 2 boxes- it measures 6ft by 3ft

That is a fab NIC set-up! I love how it has so much actual floor space, it's a really good size :)

Strawberry is a binky bunny so I needed enough space for him to be able to run and jump- he also loves jumping onto the shelves. Snowdrop isnt a jumper at all but she is coming round- they were both sat together on the top shelf this morning when I went to see them!
