Stupid question alert...

ok - I feel ridiculous asking.....but are giant buns bred to be that big or are they as nature intended?

yes, they are selectively bred to be big bunnies. I have a book that says that they were being pedigree bred at around the 16C, in Ghent, Belguim. Unfortunatley, little has been documented about the giant breed at that period, and we only know about their history from the 19C. Its more than likey there has been numerous cross breeding going on within the breed to gain the largest animal possible, thus having associated health problems :wave:
