Picked Grass Not Good-Is This True?

sonnet

Alpha Buck
I was reading a leaflet in the vets tonight abut feeding rabbits. It said 'grazing grass is fine for rabbits' but that 'picked grass is not good as it can lead to tummy upsets' - is this true?
I always thought it was only grass cuttings from mowing that wasn't safe, not picked grass??

I pick grass and have never had a problem.

Mowings or grass cuttings are a definite no-no because they start to heat/ferment and can cause tummy upsets.

I think there has been a lot of confusion about this. As I understand it, grass ferments quickly when picked/cut, as well as obviously the mower issues, so if it's picked fresh and any non-eaten stuff discarded, I think it's perfectly safe.
