  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

i just got her back from the vets, they said she still isnt eating but might be better off at home, she seems alot more calm but i guess thats from being spayed(she was in the vets 4 days after for not eating)

i put her in her hutch, went off to get some of her fave veg came back and saw she had some hay in her mouth, she was eating a little bit of it which i guess is good news since she has only just got out of the car and home ect, which must be stressfull

am glad to have her back, she has to go to the vets thursday for a checkup, they gave me some recovery food i think it is, to syringe feed her with, and a few other drugs, painkillers and something else, i dont remember exactly what right this sec though :)

just went back in to checkup on her, shes really eating her hay now, am so relieved, and happy

:)

so am i, been panicing all week, soon as she gets home, good as gold...hehe, shes just out to make me stressed!

the vets also say her stitches are healed up very nicely too

I'm pleased to hear she's home and doing better. Sometimes all it takes is to be in familiar surroundings, the vets can be quite a noisey & stressful place for a little bunny :D

so relieved to hear she is home, and eating some hay! Hopefully, now she is home she will start to perk up xx
