lola bunny
Young Bun
I can't tell you what an awful Easter I had with Lola. She stopped eating on Thursday. I visited 3 vets, who either didn't care or wouldn't go near her with a barge pole because she wasn't fit enough for a sedation! All 3 didn't think it was her teeth that were causing the problem After the third vet had suggested that she be put to sleep within 24 hours I was in melt down and joined this forum. Thank god I did, you all told me it was her teeth, I knew it was and one very kind person on here recommended that I go to see Judith at First Vets in Heaton, Newcastle. She was fantastic, she immediately saw the problem in Lola's mouth and two days later she was in for her dental. Lola came home at 6pm that night and instantly started munching on all her favourites. She is now back to being one very happy little bunny!
So if anyone in the North East needs a rabbit friendly vet, please head to First Vets and see Judith. If I hadn't gone there Lola would not be with me now and I just worry about all the bunnys that go to these other vets and are not treated properly and perhaps no longer with us due to this.
Thanks everyone for being so helpful when I needed it
