Two runts?

Of Scoochs six kits three are quite big and the other three are kinda small (well only two really, the other one is kinda medium) Is this normal to have not just one small kit? Just wondering.

Yeh, that can happen. It could be to do with their positioning in the uterine horns, or it might be that they were conceived slightly later than the bigger ones (depending on how she got pregnant and whether it was planned or not). If they are true runts (and not peanuts) then they should catch up later one :)

Peanuts have received a dwarf gene from each parent, they are much smaller than normal kits at birth Have other problems -ears can be further back, skulls can bulge etc they will never grow and usually die in a day or so

well the kits are now 3 weeks old :)

Peanuts have the double dwarfing gene and have physical deformities throughout their bodies. I have known peanuts live to be a couple of months old but it is rare and they do normally die within a couple of days. If the buns look completely normal then they are not peanuts :)

Aroma's first litter had two runts, also since there were 12 of them they were all pretty small except for Niko who was like twice as big as his siblings:shock:
The others caught up with him once they started eating though.
