just taking diego to the vets as it looks like stasis... vibes please... i cant lose him

back from the vets, nothing obvious wrong so he has had painkillers, gut stimulant and something else (sorry, cant remember as im so tired)
ive got some recovery sachets to syringe feed
please please send vibes to get us through the night. vet says he seems ok and doesnt know why he has stopped eating and why he is sat hunched. she gave him a very thorough checkup

aww poor diego..poor you
the thing is did the vet check his teeth the back ones?
all you can do is give the meds and sit diego on oyur nice warm lap and give him tummy massages. if you have any infacol a dose of that once an hour for a few hours will help the gas problem stasis goes along with.
how about fluids...syringing a bit in overnight wont hurt..and if he gets worse then obviously you have to rush him back and they can then pop him on sub cut fluids. lets hope it odesnt come to that and by morning things will be moving along!
the stuff to syringe is best done a little at a time not like the sachet says..and its hell to push thro a syringe so try to keep it fluidish enough to pass thru a wide nozzle syringe...if oyu odnt have one of those then try a tiny spoon and tip it between his lips..watch his teeth tho.
my old bun with bladder lsudge used to love to lap the stuff off a clean saucer!!
you do what you have to..you wont sleep i know........try and get some rest in betwwen feedings etc. and loads and loads of vibes for diego xx
