  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Little Tommy - vibes for op please ... U/D He's Home!!

... he's my little baby bun, an extra small mini-lop who i've had for 2 years. A real little character, full of mischief and in love with his Lucy - they live in the bedroom and jump on our bed  His suspected abscess (on his head) doesn't seem to be bothering him yet - so worried about tomorrow - he's so lively it's like there's no need to take him (even though I know he needs to go!)

Anyway, rambling on - just want lots of good luck vibes for the little chap for tomorrow. Thanks  x

:D My little Tommy is home and ok! His abscess was lanced and it wasn't a tooth problem - vet couldn't find a cause but got to the bottom of it and got all the pus out - it didn't go too deep to cause any long term problems :)

He's a bit wobbly but ate something whilst at the vets. Have to make sure he eats and drinks tonight - he hasn't yet but am keeping a close eye - he's back in the bedroom (albeit in isolation :?) with his Lucy

Thanks for all your good luck vibes xx
