bunnies not eating .....help please

Young Bun
HELP>>>>>>Neither of my bunnies are eating well!! They are both just a year old , altered and live separatley. Ollie will eat her greens, salad and treats and a bit of hay but no pellets. She is dumping her dish over or ignoring it. Leo will not eat much at all for the last day and a half and usually he is such a hog for his food and looks forward to meal time. I tried tempting him w/ his favorites last night and he only took small nibbles of each and the rest was still there this morning. He is acting quiet an shy too. Ollie is romping around as usual. I just got a new bag of food and hay and stopped feeding the food last night. Both are oxbow brand, which they have always prefered. The guinea pig is still hogging down the hay and seems fine so I am wondering if there is something wrong w/ the food. Neither bun is drinking as much as usual either, in fact very little. Is there anything I can do for them?? I am really worried about leo and am going to ring the vet later if he does not improve I guess. any help would be appreciated!!!

I think I would get them to the vet ASAP - bunnies can go downhill very quickly, especially if they're not eating.
Are they pooping?
Do their tunnies feel hard?
They could have bloat or their stomachs might be in stasis - if you do a search on here you'll find lots of info about both conditions... but either way I think they need to see the vet quickly.
Let us know how you get on :)

They need to go to a vet asap. Not eating in buns is an emergency - especially if they're not pooing.

It sounds like their diet was switched over suddenly, is that right? Or do you mean it's a new bag of the same food they've always had?

Anyway, off to the vets for you and your buns.

Good luck!

It is the same food and hay they have always been on.........Just new bags.....I cleaned their litter boxes last night and this morning both had fresh poo's.......not too many in Leo's but15-20 ( normally he would have piles.) I am calling the vet. My vet is out of the office today and the other one in that office does not see Bunnies. I have called three other vets and can go in and wait at one office this afternoon until the vet can see us. Should I bring both buns or just Leo who is hardly eating at all? Ollie is still eating all salad, veg, and treats..........just no pellets or hay
