i have just seen Snowdrop eating newspaper! She is ripping it into small pieces and then eating them! i have stuck a big pile of hay infront of her which has stopped it but what sort i do? I need to use it as they are bonding in a room with a cream carpet!!!

Put an old sheet over the newspaper then cover the sheet with hay

Why didnt I think of that! Thanks Jane!

She is also on "poo watch" today as we havent had much overnight. If it doesnt improve then i will take her into the vets later for a once over. She is eating hay and has had her pellets this morning.

Is she drinking? A low water intake will reduce her gut motility.

Yes i have seen her drink a little during the night. I have put a bowl in now and added a tiny bit of apple juice to encourage her to drink more.
