  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

I wouldn't wait for them to ring back, I would drive there now.

Hope they're ok. xxx

the best thing is to wait to find out what it is, otherwise it causes increased anxiety... keep our fingers X and good vibes for your little rabbit

Unfortunaltley Woody did'nt make it  The vet said he had snuffles but his lungs sounded clear which was either great news or they sounded clear because they were full of fluid. He gave him an antibiotic injection but he died on the way home  It came on so quickly

Bugsy is ok. The vet checked him over, and he seems fine but we are keeping an eye on him. I feel so bad for him being on his own. I hope he understands that Woodys gone

I sure he'll be ok- did he get chance to spend time with Woody's body after? it helps with them to understand.
It's worth considering bonding him to another bunny in a few weeks, so he's not lonely.

Well they were in the carrier together when he died  I did'nt want to leave them together as I did'nt want to risk as I was'nt sure if it was contagious.
