Make Mine Chocolate Photo Competition and More Supporters Join Up!

The Duchess

Wise Old Thumper
Just thought you'd like to hear that the campaign has now had confirmation that both Blue Cross and PDSA have given their support to the campaign, in addition to RSPCA who have already signed up!

If you don't know about MMC yet, have a look here http://www.makeminechocolate.co.uk/ You can find useful information about the massive task we face in rabbit welfare and impulse purchases of rabbits as pets, and download posters and letters to submit to your local media.

And if you'd like to join our MMC Facebook group so that we can update you immediately with any news then have a look here...http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=70956252032

Easter will soon be here and despite this being an ongoing campaign, we need to shout loudest in the coming weeks!!!

Thanks all.

For those of you with a MMC badge, why not enter our photo competition?

Post on Facebook or or send a photo as an attachment to helen@makeminechocolate.co.uk.

We'd like to see you wearing your badge - we'll leave the rest to you.

Use your imagination to make your photo outstanding! We want people to see how by wearing your bunny pin, you can get people's attention and give you the opportunity to tell them why you are wearing it!

We're aiming to have a closing date for this of Easter Weekend but this will be confirmed soon.

Get going guys!

Badges are available from www.thehayexperts.co.uk, RWA, http://www.makeminechocolate.co.uk/merchandise.php

:wave:Nottingham Evening Post has heard about the campaign via our website and is doing an article within the next few days.

Yay! That's fantastic news. Good work.

We need everybody to do the same and sure as eggs is eggs, the profile of impulse buying being wrong will out!!

I'm running this campaign for my local RSPCA. Unfortunately I was only asked on Monday and I have yet to be sent the stuff but I intend to blitz as many places and people as possible over the next week. I wish they had asked me earlier though.

We just got a small piece in the local paper to raise awareness.

http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/news/rabbit-life/article-872389-detail/article.html

It just absolutely makes my blood boil that our local 'fun farm' (White Post Farm) is taking out adverts in the same paper saying that they have lots of baby animals. This includes baby rabbits that are available to buy on the way out. We have so many unwanted rabbits coming in that were originally sold by this place and bought on impulse without a passing thought for the poor rabbit. We had one rabbit in recently from this place that is aggressive (doesn't appear to be to me) they tried to take him back and were advised to castrate (which they did) and then when there was no improvement they were told to pin the rabbit down by it's neck and show it who is boss! I'd bite someone that did that too! Poor boy. At least now he will get a proper home and a girlie bun to play with.

Thats really good. I got my rabbit Squirrel from Beth :D

I am not having much luck at all....I have contacted all my local newspapers and radio stations and not one of them has had the decency to reply!
