Midges everywhere

bunny babe

Wise Old Thumper
They seem to be everywhere in the garden today with the bit of sunshine we are having.

Is there anyway to reduce them being there. I had some fly spray but they just spread out when I sprayed it. We are not far from a river which does not help. Their myxi is up to date but I always worry as they like to free range when we are around.

I tie bits of material with a couple of drops of citronella onto the run in the spring/summer. It seems to work quite well, so it may be worth a try.
