Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

pregnant bunny help

my little girl is pregnant (i think) i was just wondering, and i know its a stupid question, but do rabbits show any signs of pregnancy, ive always thought that they dont and you just have to wait. she hasnt put on that much weight either. she's due next saturday. any help would be great

About a week before she is due she should start to build a nest. You will need to make sure you put extra bedding in so that she has enough to do this properly. Is she still living with a male? If she is you need to remove him now. Do not wait untill after she has given birth- or you might have a second litter on your hands!

thanks

oh nah she's definately not still with the male, oh so she should be building a nest a week before?
i always thought it was the night before or a couple of nights before
also, does she have to have a nest box?

They can nest build a couple of hours before - my free ad litter nest built after the births:roll:
