Is your Lionheads mane growing???

Hi folks.

Over Winter Lola's mane was a little bit sad looking.

However, since Winter has moved on a little bit she is sprouting the most amazing "mane" and its getting so long it flops over, but some still stick up and we do like to give her "hair do's" such as Emo Lola and Unicorn Lola and Combover Lola - will take soem pics when Steff brings the camera back!

Anyone elses Lionhead having a growth spurt on their mane???
 
Strawberrys fluff has almost gone now! He are not sure what breed he is really. He must be crossed with something. He is quite sleek and hare like when he sits up!

Any one any ideas whether he is even a lion head? Piccie here

If anyone remembers Pat Sharpe (the children's TV presenter from 80's/90's shows like 'FunHouse' ) ....Luna's mane looked like his mullet at its longest :lol: It was proper hair, we could have put ponytails and braids in it and everything :love:
 
Charlies "mane" sorta thinned out and went a bit...
Now it's half way down his back and when hes washing he puts it infront of his eyes and can't see :roll:
 
The majority of rabbits that are labelled and sold as lionheads are not 'true' lionheads. They are simply a crossbreed with lionhead in their gene pool.
they are still very cute though!

They all tend to lose their mane over winter and come spring it will grow back in!
 
There is no way Strawbs is a true lionhead, he hardly has any fluff now. No idea what he is crossed with though!
 
Charlie's definatly not a true lionhead with his stupid loppy ears and pathetic attempt at a mane :lol:
 
both my boys are supposed to be lionhead lops.... but they look very different from each other so deffinate cross breeds... but both have manes and both are so :love::love::love::love::love::love:
 
Yep - Rambi has a defo mane growth thing going on and he is absolutely a cross (thank the lord - a X is hard enough to care for!)

Mrs Bun is a lionhead x but her "mane" is looking good!! So funny......she didnt have it last year when I got her in May time.
Im loving her new hair do!!
