Vets

Expensive..and allegedly..one of our ex bunnies was taken there as had an eye infection..vet looked at him..said "That's an abcess behind his eye only option to put to sleep"..luckily owner rang me before agreeing..I picked bun up..had him on depocillin for 10 days..and 18 months later he is still living with his wifey bun and fine! :D:?
making clear that is what owner told us..I was not present:?

They claim to do extensive dental and dental related abcess work, so it seems very peculiar they would misdiagnose an abcess in the first place without any diagnostic tests.

Really:shock: My friend uses them for her rabbits there cheaper than my vets:?

These are the Vets I used that diagnosed are treated my bun when she became paralysed with E.c. (she's fine now)
Craig Hunt, the bunny expert, is a lovely chap and I can't praise them highly enough :)

They do Sooz. I was talking to a lady and her hubbie last week and they use Chine House. They used to use another vets in Leicester, but they missed an abcess in the jaw so they went to Chine house and things had deteriorated. The bun had cancer of the bone and the exotics specialist performed an op to remove half of the jaw. Apparently the op has only been done 6 times in total. The couple have spent £2k for everything to be done.

The bun is doing well but having to learn to eat again.

Just to add, my bun was hospitalised for several days, had a blood test, panacur, septrin, fluid therapy, potassium, and was intensively nursed and syringe fed and kept in a heated cage. When I went to visit her she turned her back and sulked: I don't think she wanted to leave! They bill came to about 80 quid if I remember rightly- absolute bargain! I couldn't believe it! :)
