Hi
I am having Ollie (buck) neutered at the beginning of April and have a couple of questions that I hope you can help with.
At the moment Ollie is an indoor bun, with plans to relocate him outside as soon as the weather is warm enough. So, as he will be recovering indoors what should I put on the bottom of his cage? At the moment he has wood chips and hay.
I am very happy with my vet, and when asked the receptionist correctly said that I did not need to starve Ollie pre op which is good. I asked about pain relief and she said that he would have pain relief at the surgery and it would be enough for when he comes home. Is this correct? Should I request a gut stimulant as well?
How long (roughly of course) will it take Ollie to get over the OP?
Ollie plays outside at the moment, so how long should we keep him in and not allow playtime?
Thanks in advance!
Oh and the op is only going to cost £34.50, which I thought was very reasonable.
