Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

someones poos are different!

Hi i have 3 buns kept together and a few of the poos have become smaller wetter and darker!(don't know whos doing it!?)

I have had the buns 6 months and their poos have always been the same, large, sort of golden brown and quite dry.

There diet hasn't changed really except a couple of handfuls of grass recently could that be it.

they have tons of rye and timothy hay, 2 handfuls of oxbow pellets, veggies once a day and the occasional handful of readigrass, they have always had a good variety of veg and tolerated it well. which makes me think it could be the grass.

I know poos are a good indicator of rabbit health, can anyone advice me, what i should be looking out for, doing etc. thank you:)

too much veggies. Stop giving them any green for 7 days. You can also separate the buns in 3 different cages to observe which poos belongs to which bun

Thanks for the reply!

I don't really want to seperate them as i had a couple of problems, fighting etc when they were seperated from each other for a few hours a while back, also i don't have 3 spare hutches! may cut out their veggies and see what happens!
