Question re answers to getting bun a friend

Melinda

Young Bun
I read all your answers to Dylans question, but my question is my
rabbit is blind. He's been alone for two years. I was also wanting
to get him a friend, but people have told me that it might scare
him too much, and rock his world. Should I just leave him be?

If you can find the right rabbit he might like having a friend. I think you would need a bun who is calm and settled but I'm sure you could find some bun who meets that description :)

Thanks for your help. There is a rabbit rescue center a few hours from
here that I can take my blind bunny to. They will put him in a playpen
and try to find good bonding partners.. I think I'll give it a go.

many blind rabbits really really benifit from a companion who acts as thier guide bunny. speak to liz hugos there she has bonded lots of blind or partialyl sighted buns before. i think the key is that your own bun is not to snappy with other rabbits and that the new rabbit is reasonably calm so doesnt get too bouncy and startle yourblind bun good luck i hope bunny finds a guide bun xxx
