Can metacam cause too many catotrophs[cant spell!]?You wouldn't believe the mess I found when I got home!

Is your Bun passing normal hard pellets too ?
If he is not eating his caecotrophs it may be because the Metacam is making them taste 'wrong'. But if you suspect that he is actually passing diarrhoea/unformed faeces you need to contact your Vet for advice.

If as Jane says it is possibly the caecotrophs tasting wrong I have found adding probiotics to the water while on the meds usually helps the problem

matt is on metacam aswell (same dose as yours) and he is eating his caecotrophs and he is on probiotics in his water. he does have normal poops though, no runny ones etc.

Im giving her more of her furball remedy as its easy to put metacam on,do you think its that thats doing it?Have stopped doing that now.She is doing normal poos too .She has probiotics on her food.We've had to clean her[and the room]up twice today.Metacam finishes today so hopefully everything will go back to normal then.
