Good books for bunnysitters?

Hi
not sure if i am posting this in the right section - just wondering if anyone can recommend a good book that i can give to my bunnysitters when i am away?

i always give them a full list of instructions and walk them through the daily routine, and list my bunnies' quirks so they know what is normal for them (freaked one out when they started binkying!). I just thought a good reference book might be helpful too?

any suggestions? thanks

Thanks, i'll look out for that one. Someone else told me the "rabbitlopedia" and "rabbits for dummies" are both good? anyone read them?

I'm not keen on rabbitlopedia but rabbits for dummies is great. It is quite a thick book so plenty of info :) I suggested the other one as it would probably only take an hour or so to read and covers all the basics including body language

With no disrespect, but if your bunnysitter needs to have a reference book left for them at your premises they would not be looking after my bunnies. Any decent sitter will have good knowledge, books of their own and hopefully had some training by their local vet or extensive experience.

i see your point, the friends that look after them are either current/previous rabbit owners and/or vet students. thats not an infalliable combination, but pretty good i reckon, second only to a knowledgeable boarding centre. I wouldnt leave them with anyone i wasnt confident could care for them, and always say if in doubt take them to the vet. they get very detailed instructions (i am renowned for writing an encylopaedia!) but i just figured it gives them peace of mind to have a book to refer to just in case. As they are only ever left for a few days, and very rarely, i dont think they need extensive experience - a knowledge of the basics, some confidence and some familiarity with my bunnies is enough. i would never leave them if they needed specialist care or medication etc.
