  • Please Note - Medical Advice

Please keep in mind that posts on this forum are from members of the public sharing personal opinions. It is not a replacement for qualified medical advice from a veterinarian. Many illnesses share similar symptoms but require different treatments. A medical exam is necessary for an accurate diagnosis, without which appropriate treatment cannot be given.

You should always consult your vet before following any suggestions for medication or treatment you have read about. The wrong treatment could make your rabbit worse or mean your vet is unable to give the correct treatment because of drug interactions. Even non prescription drugs can do harm if given inappropriately.

We are very grateful to members who take time to answer other members questions, but please do be clear in your replies that you are sharing personal experience and not giving instructions on what must be done.

Urgent Medical Advice: If you need, or think you might need, urgent medical advice you should contact a vet. If it is out of working hours phone your vet's normal number and there should be an answer phone message with instructions on what to do.

Hi just wondering what you all feed your bunnys on?..mines like wagg bunny brunch i think, he like the hard type of food....

Oxbow Bunny Basics mixed with a Norwegian brand called Kalle Kanin.

+Hay. Lots and lots of it! And whatever I happen to have of fruits and veggies that are bunnysafe.

I have one on half A&P and half pets@home pellets, and the other on half A&P and half excel. They will both be on just A&P in a few days time, I have been changing them over since last weekend.

Then they eat at least double their body size in hay each day (not sure if this is too much?)

And a few veggies at night time- mainly kale, baby leaf salad, brocolli, a bit of carrot or apple.

Science Selective with a small amount of 'bunny brunch' type stuff on top as a treat in the morning. They get a few different types of hay all day and vegetables in the evening.

Excel pellets, only a small amount. As much veg as B will eat in 4hours as worry it will wilt and ad lib green hay.
