Lump on bunny's neck - Any ideas

New Kit
Hello,

I have just noticed quite a large lump on my female bunny's neck. It is toward the left side/middle and is about the size of a ping pong ball - probably a bit smaller.

She has no broken skin or infection and appears okay in herself - does anyone know what could be wrong?

She had babies just over two weeks ago - they are fine and she has looked after them well.

I have of course made an emergency appointment with the vets and on my way there shortly but have come straight on here as someone may know what this could be.

Thanks

Sorry I don't know what it could be other than an abcess, I don't think there would necessarily be any visible wound or scar. Good luck at the vets.

Panic over

Panic over....she is absolutely fine.

Bizarrely enough she has a nipple on the bottom of her neck (honest!!) which is working as the vet said there was dry milk around it. Has anyone else heard of this? He was quite surprised how far up it was.

However he thinks the 'lump' is just fatty tissue - i felt a bit of a wally but at least she is okay and he gave her the once over sand she is tip-top so i feel happier now.

Thanks and sorry for the fuss
