Question about Rex buns

ClaireAndLouis

Young Bun
We picked up Coco, our beautiful Rex, from a rescue yesterday. I've just noticed-she doesn't have any whiskers. Is this right? I've had a good look but there's nothing there at all.

The rescue didn't know too much about her apart from her being abandoned in an empty house, then she's been at the rescue since August.

Thanks.

I think it is normal with the Rex breed not to have whiskers.

My Rex Kellogg only ever grew one rather short curly hair from the side of his face. Not sure if I would have called it a 'whisker' exactly :)

Rexes usually have very short curly whiskers.

If your Bun has none at all maybe she was with another Bun who over-groomed her.

My Middy had a few tiny whiskers, more on one side than the other. We had her since she was a kitten, so she had always been that way (and was not groomed by another bunny). :)

She wants to be groomed by Louis but he's having none of it...

I noticed when she fell asleep in the litter tray that on her left back foot, she has a small patch that is pink and not covered in fur. Is this something we should worry about?

Thanks for all your reply. Appreciate it.
