Need advice...

My fil is building me a 7 foot double hutch and is asking me what covering i want on the floot of the hutch. I don;t really know tbh! Im not sure about vinyl tiles cos they're a bit slippy and they might chew carpet. Has anyone any other ideas? Or will the varnish stuff be ok to protect against 'spillages'?

textured lino is better than vinyl tiles - less slippy and you can fix it under the edges of the walls so they cant chew it. you can always add carpet on top if you want. definately something easy to wipe clean that wont soak up urine. bunny safe varnish/woodstain etc for the walls, doors etc though is a good idea, particuarly to prevent the doors from warping if they get wet. hope that helps.
