bunnysitting in scotland??

louise1

Mama Doe
Just noticed a few more people from scotland on here recently and wondered where everyone up there puts there buns while they go away?? boarding ,bunnysitting???

omg I never thought of that!! we have only had him a few weeks. That never even entered my head. I will need to look into that :?

I would have too many to board, and I couldn't trust anyone to bunnysit  so I can't go on holiday. I don't care though because I love my bunnies :D

I do have two spare hutches though so have looked after a couple buns for people.

I was just coming online to ask about this! I'm sure someone on here boarded their buns at Edinburgh City Farm. I can't remember who it was - think their avatar pic was Hello Kitty.

hi-petshop creature comforts based in clarkston, south side glasgow do boarding but i think you need to book well in advance!
i'm lucky, my neighbours look after ours in return for looking after their bunny when they're away!

thank you!!

I have previously relied on pet sitters, but now a good friend of mine comes round to look after the pets if i am away :D.

It's taken me ages to find a good pet sitter for our buns, but my OH had a wild bunny running about outside his work with suspected myxi :( and called the SSPCA - he asked them on the off-chance, and one of their colleagues was in the process of setting up a pet sitting service - specialising in small animals :) - she's fantastic.... :D

....but you're right, it's really hard to find someone, especially someone you trust :?

I find it too expensive for my 4 rabbits and 7 guinea pigs so I just get someone to come and feed them and they get a few cuddles. I hate going away though because I always worry... :?

out of interest what does fife and carrot rabbit rescue charge?

We haven't had to leave the bunnies yet, adopted our wee ted in march and bunny foo foo a month later. I would hate to leave them for any length of time, would worry the whole time. Love my bunnies!:love:

Ours go to C.A.R.R.O.T :) Bunny rehome in Arbroath. Dont have to worry at all about them while they are there as they are taken care of brilliiantly.

There is no set price as such. A donation to the rescue. However - if you bear in mind the cost of other places we try and give as much as we can afford as having 5 buns (4 at the time of boarding)as you can imagine it would work out very very expensive in a normal boarding establishment.

lol thats lucky... bcoz honeys a house bun i wold feel bad just getting someone to come in and feed her as she needs out n stuff... its hard...:D

was just thinking about that tonight! we're going away from sun to tuesday and amost forgot to get someone for Jimmy

a good friend usually does it, he comes in after work feeds him changes water and lets him out for a few hours. he's fab. Jimmy always gets him a prezzie to say thanks :D
