well not to stop them freezing, that's a pain but when they are frozen giving them a really good shake with the ice inside cleans all gunk and algee off the sides. All my water bottles look like new again!!
As for freezing I have to go out as often as possible with a bucket of hot water and put them in it for a bit. :?
